SCREEN CRACK PROTECTION PLAN TERMS & CONDITIONS

A sudden, unexpected, and unintentional external event that results in “physical” damage such as dropped, knocked, pressed or external impact damage to the covered product. The damage is not foreseeable and is beyond customer control. This contract has no refundable value and cannot be transferred to another product.


WHAT IS COVERED

This Screen Crack Protection covers parts and labor costs and/or materials and repairs necessary to return customer product to normal working condition, due to damage resulting from accidental damage. This Screen Crack Protection covers only products used for personal, family or household purposes.

LIMIT OF LIABILITY

This means the maximum liability is limited to 1 (one) Valid Claim up to and not exceeding the Sum Insured as stated in the e-certificate. This protection shall be terminated automatically upon payment of claim.

DEDUCTIBLE

The deductible is for each occurrence where We approved the service call and must be paid before customer claim can be approved or before service is provided. If repairs are made to additional products, a separate deductible will apply to each product repaired. Customer will not be responsible for deductible charges on repeat service calls completed within thirty (30) days of the original service event for the same issue. Failure to pay the deductible when due may result in the suspension of service.

TERRITORIAL LIMIT

This Screen Crack Protection is valid within Malaysia only.

TERMINATION

The Plan shall be terminated immediately without any refund of the price paid for the Plan if any of the following events occur:

1. Expiry of the term of the Plan; or

2. When the Covered Product has been repaired and or replaced; or

3. The disposal, subsequent sale, lost or repossession of the Covered Product by you; or

4. The unauthorised repair or modification of the Covered Product; or

5. Upon discovery of fraud or misrepresentation; or

6. Breach of any of the Terms.

CLAIM PROCEDURES

1. No repairs may be undertaken or commenced under the terms of this contract without the prior approval of the underwriter. All claims must be supported with the relevant documentations. The underwriter reserves all rights to examine the product and subject it to independent assessment. The result of the assessment will determine the company’s insured liability subject to the limit of liability.

2. Repair work must take place at the authorized repairer appointed by the underwriter.

3. The cost of dismantling of the products will be paid in the event of a valid claim. However, if upon dismantling it should be found that the damage is not within the scope of the Screen Crack Protection, then the cost of dismantling must be borne by the Insured, always subject to the contract limits of liability.

4. The underwriter reserves the right not to carry out work under the terms of this contract if any of the conditions specified has not been complied with or if the claims are not due to the defective material.

5. Picture of damaged product / part with Serial / IMEI number.

MAIN EXCLUSIONS

1. Appearance or structural items, such as housing, case or frame, decorative parts or parts designated to be replaced periodically during the life of the product, add-on items, accessories or attachments, external wiring and cabling, camera, audio parts and battery other than screen.

2. Any problems or defects due to mechanical, electrical, or electronic failure as a result of “physical” damage.

3. Breakdown caused by software, virus, or realignment to products.
